Electrical Power Transmission line Training System (PPS-32)

Description

This Power System transmission line trainer module (High Voltage) is designed to study the transmission line parameters, performance and protections with R and motor load. This Electrical Power Transmission Line Training System Consists Of

  • Generating Station Module
  • Artificial Transmission line model (400 KV)
  • Receiving Station Module
  • Fixed VAR Compensation Module
  • Measurement and Protection Section Module
  • RL Load

Generating Station Module (3Ø Alternator set up):

  •  3 Phase / 1 KVA / alternator coupled with suitable AC motor with necessary drive (for Prime mover) is provided for transmission line input.
  • 2 HP / single phase input, 3 phase output VFD controller is provided for AC motor Speed control
  • Necessary Field exciter (200VDC/2A) is provided for alternator field

Artificial Transmission line module (400 KV):

  • Type : Artificial Transmission line 3Phase Bench Model.
  • Number of Pi Sections : 18nos
  • Operating Voltage : 110-220V Line to Neutral / Line to Line 415V
  • Current Rating : 2A
  • Short Circuit Strength : 2A
  • Line simulation through Iron cored inductor. Each pi-section for every 30Kms

Fixed VAR Compensation Module

  • This consists of shunt capacitors for voltage control and shunt reactor for Ferranti effect compensation,

Receiving station  module (Power Transformer):

  •  Input Voltage : 3 phase-220V Line to Line
  • Output Voltage                 : 415V Line to Line
  • Current rating                    : 1A
  • With Over current and Over / Under voltage protections

Measurement and Protection Section Module

  • Measurements of Sending end Voltage, Current, Power and Power factor etc.
  • Measurements of Receiving end Voltage, Current, Power and Power factor etc
  • Measurements of ABCD constants
  • Protection relays (Over Current, Under / Over Voltage) are available.

RL Load.

  • 3 Phase Lamp load – 1KW
  • 1 Horse Power /750W/ 3Ф Induction Motor/1440 RPM act@ Inductive load
