Matrix Converter Power Module ( PDL-15D)

Description

This Power Module is designed to study the working principle of 3 phases to 3 phases MATRIX CONVERTER fed induction motor control by using latest IGBT Bi directional switch from IXYS Corporation. An external Digital PWM Controller (like FPGA) can be interfaced to this power module to trigger bi directional IGBT. This power module consists of

 

  • One number of 3 phase ZCD circuit is provided for PWM Generation
  • 18 Number of PWM Isolator ic (6N137) is used to isolate the input PWM signals
  • 18 Number of IGBT Driver IC (IR2112) is used IGBT Gate signal amplification.
  • 9 Number of Bi directional IGBT ( Model FIO 50 12BD ) RATING @ 1200V , 50A
  • 3 numbers of Hall effect current sensor @ 25A is provided for 3Ø output AC Current measurement
  • 3 numbers of Hall effect current sensor @ 25A is provided for 3Ø Input AC Current measurement
  • One number of over current trip circuit is provided for O/C protection
  • One number of 34 pin FRC Connector is provided for PWM input signal input and feed back
  • Banana connectors are provided for 3 phase ac input
  • Banana connectors are provided for 3 phase ac output
  • Test points are provided for PWM signal and Current wave form measurements
  • Three number of power inductor @ 10Awith different tapings is provided for input filter circuit
  • Three number of power CAPACITOR with different tapings is provided for input filter circuit

SPECIFICATION

  • INPUT           3 PHASE 200V , 50 HZ
  • OUTPUT       3 PHASE 200V @ 5A , Variable Voltage , Variable frequency, suitable for 1 hp induction motor.
  • One number of 3phase Autotransformer @ 6A each Phase is provided for MATRIX Converter input side
  • One numbers of 3 phase Isolation transformer is provided @ 6A capacity is provided
